It seems we can’t go a week without writing about The Leisure Society in some way or form at the moment. Whether it be their recent appearence on BandstandBusking.com or their sold out show at Bush Hall, we watch their every move. Why? Because they’re bloody fantastic that’s why – just you wait until you hear the album, it’s a corker. Anyway. A few months back you might recall us appealing for your help to get TLS single of the week status on the Mark Radcliffe & Stuart Maconie show on BBC Radio 2. To cut a long story short (and to save any unnecessary bragging) they won by a landslide victory, and you can bet your bottom dollar that was partly down to you dear reader/voter.
The beeb obviously like the band as much as we do as their forthcoming single is again up for the ‘Record Of The Week’ spot. So it’s time for us to go for the double. We can take it, I have 100% faith. Please vote for ‘Matter Of Time’ by sending an email to radcliffe.maconie@bbc.co.uk with the subject line: The Leisure Society, Matter Of Time. I’ve timed myself and it literally takes 8 seconds to type and send. Please help this great band out. Voting closes around midday next Monday (9th Feb).

Done! 12 seconds actually, but they’re worth it.
This is a band of perfect fragility, strength, and good tunes from the beginning to the end of the day and everytime else. What I’ve heard so far makes me feel really good. Thanks and good luck.
