So, this is rather exciting news… The Wrens, one of the great lost bands, have commenced recording their fourth album, the follow up to the immense Meadowlands.

To kick off recording the band are offering up the new single, ‘Pulled Fences’ digitally (available as of today!!!!).  ‘Pulled Fences’ was recorded at Abbey Road Studios for WORLDSPACE satellite radio in London, and marks the first time since 1999 that Charles, Kevin, Jerry and Greg were in one room working on new music together. Additionally, 2009 marks The Wrens 20th anniversary as a band.

‘Pulled Fences’ is available now at The Wrens brand spanking new website, www.wrens.com, Absolutely Kosher Records brand spanking new website, www.absolutelykosher.com, iTunes and Amazon.com.  The album is schedule for release in late spring.  And by “scheduled,” we mean…fingers crossed.

[...] Que el mismo sello discográfico encargado de publicar el supuesto próximo álbum de The Wrens, Absolutely Kosher Records, diga en la nota de prensa que “the album is scheduled for release in late spring. And by ’scheduled,’ we mean…fingers crossed” tiene su miga. (Vía: Pitchfork y The Line Of Best Fit) [...]
