Andrew Bird readies his ‘Noble Beast’

Andrew Bird is back, and he’s ready for action. After commenting in the New York Times back in June that “I listened to my record recently and I’m concerned about how much I like it”, he’s going to give the rest of us the chance to comment.

The new album is to be called Noble Beast, and it’s due via Fat Possum on January 27 2009. You can hear the first track, ‘Oh No’, by clicking on this here link… And don’t worry, there’s plenty of whistling.

Bird also has a new live album available through his website. It’s called Live in Montreal, and was recorded in September of last year with Martin Dosh and Jeremy Ylvisaker backing up Bird.
