Secret Machines make return with self-titled third

NYC’s Secret Machines have announced their return in the autumn with a self-titled release on October 13th. The follow up to 2006’s remarkable Ten Silver Drops will be the first album without founding member Benjamin Curtis who was replaced with guitarist Phil E. Karnats. The record was recorded briskly throughout May of last year – so who knows why it’s taken them so long to put it out. No matter. The tracklisting is as follows:

‘Atomic Heels’
‘Last Believer, Drop Dead’
‘Have I Run Out’
‘Underneath the Concrete’
‘Now You’re Gone’
‘The Walls Are Starting to Crack’
‘I Never Thought to Ask’
‘The Fire Is Waiting’

Let’s hope for tons more space rock whig outs. Ten Silver Drops was awesome with a capital A.

Oh – and for folk state-side, to be more precise, Philadelphia. The band are playing a free show TODAY (12th August) at Urban Outfitters on 110 S. 36th Street.
