A Skin, A Night is a new feature film from French director Vincent Moon, the man behind La Blogotheque’s fantastic Take Away Shows. It’ll document the process behind The National’s album Boxer.

The movie will be released on DVD May 20 from Beggar’s Banquet, with an accompanying 12-track bonus CD titled The Virginia EP. How a 12-track CD gets called an EP is anyone’s guess, but it’ll contain a number of demos of existing National songs, a track from last year’s Daytrotter session, a few live cuts, which will include their cover of Bruce Springsteen’s ‘Mansion on the Hill’, and assorted B-sides.

The Virginia EP:
You’ve Done It Again Virginia
Santa Clara
Blank Slate
Tall Saint (demo)
Without Permission
Forever After Days
Rest of Years (demo)
Slow Show (demo)
Lucky You (Daytrotter session)
Mansion on the Hill (live)
Fake Empire (live)
About Today (live)
