I met Jeremy Warmsley many moons ago when he supported The Boxer Rebellion at the APU Bar in Cambridge. We had a lovely chat and I said “Drop the songs in French Jeremy and you’ll go a long way”. Well, it seems as though he’s dropped the French songs and has found critical acclaim! I’m not sure I can take much credit for that though…
Anyway, having been called a “lovely chap” in his splendid email to me last night, how could I resist not bringing his latest project to everyone’s attention? Called “Welcome to our TV Show”, it’s an online only program (via the wonders of YouTube) and the first episode features performances from Noah & The Whale, Laura Marling, Mystery Jets and Jeremy Warmsley himself.
Jeremy co-hosts the show with Fay Buzzard and the feel is “somewhere between Wayne’s World, Jools Holland with a little bit of Richard & Judy thrown in…”.
