Just been reading the ‘TLOBF loves Benjamin Blower’ posting. I knew about the ep download but didn’t realize he had an album scheduled for this year. He gets my vote for most exciting and unconventional act of 2008. Like British Sea Power he’s been around for a couple of years and released some solid gold through the Zang label. But just like BSP, Benjamin seems like he’s on solid form this year. Oh and he has a cool first name too.

Oh man, you guys are missing out on the Dirtbombs. I think they might have just released a year defining totally paranoid cd. And, you guys should pick up on the Alan Moore penned ‘Leopardman from the C+A’ in a review or news item post. It would link Detroit garage to Bauhaus to Moore in one quick step.

of course I may be totally wrong on all of this…

Cut Copy’s sophomore in Feb-March should be great if you like the indie-electro 80′s synth pop sound.

YES to Fanfarlo, I love those guys.

I’m waiting with interest to see what Economy Wolf can do, layered shoegaze-y type stuff.

Nice choices there mate. As far as new music by more esteemed bands go – im desperately looking forward to a new Death Cab album – along with the elusive second bt the Postal Service.

Los Campesinos get my vote too. Sleeping States need more exposure, they’re album is fantastic. Also looking forward to hearing more from Fanfarlo who are very promising. http://www.myspace.com/fanfarlo
