Love the ‘from the basement’ series, is this available to purchase on DVD?

i finally got around to watching this tonight and it is really good. the studio is very cool, retro looking – like some old unused sound stage from the seventies, or something.

the white stripes were pretty good, though i couldnt say what songs they played as im not much of a fan – one of them was blue orchid. and another had meg playing some congas. badly. i think they did about 5-6 songs in total..

the shins were great – played “turn on me”, “phantom limb”, “a comet appears” and “australia”.

nothing has surfaced on youtube as of yet which is a little odd..

Seconded. From what I’ve seen: Yet another spot for the The Kaiser Chiefs (nothing particularly against them, but air time for something new please …) and Shane Ward (WTF?). And two presenters with the vampire-like ability who drain the enthusiasm from everything they touch.

who knows.. i guess you could register on the site (http://www.fromthebasement.tv/) for updates and the like..

the clips will more than likely show up on youtube i guess, which is something.

i havent seen that. ive also been dissapointed in Jools Holland this series.

Friday’s show was laughably bad. “Babyshambles have cancelled this week – so we’ve got……James Blunt to replace them..”
