Apparently Jose Gonzalez wants to be taken more seriously for his original material, not just be known for his impressive cover versions. Well, after covering The Knife, he seems to have given us another absolute belter of a cover with Massive Attacks “Teardrop” given his Swedish, acoustic makeover. Yeah, the thing with that though, Teardrop was previously released on an EP for the Veneer album. So he still seems to have some reliance on cover songs and older material, though I haven’t heard the new album so maybe that doesn’t actually matter.
