This was one of the most special gigs I’ve ever had the good fortune to attend. A small and intimate gig set in one of the finest venues in London. Sure, some of the crowd where just there to be seen to be there, but the fans were definitely in the majority. From the opening bars of Dear John we knew we were in for something special, Adams stripping down the songs to their barest bones and opening up. Both him and Neal Casal feeding off one another. Highlights include Adam’s improv songs about Casal going to the loo and the urban myth that teeth dissolve if left in Coca-Cola over night as well as fantastic versions of Cold Roses and Dear Chicago. A man and the very height of his powers. Enjoy.
